The Institute of Chemistry and Biotechnology at UFAL has a state-of-the-art structure with research groups and laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art scientific instrumentation.

The PPGQB has 8 exclusive laboratories for research, namely: IQB Analytical Center (CA-IQB), l60 m², the Chemical Catalysis and Reactivity Group (GCAR), with 120 m², the Applied Electrochemistry Laboratory, with 80 m², the Research Group on Analytical, Electroanalytical and Chemical Sensor Development (GPAES), 70m², the Electrochemistry and Oxidative Stress Laboratory (LEEO), 70m², the Instrumentation, and Development Laboratory in Analytical Chemistry (LINQA), 55 m², the Laboratory of Electrochemistry and Microsystems for Analysis (LEMAN), and the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Analysis and Research Nucleus (NAPRMN), which is located at NAPRMN is approximately 600 m².
